Phan Văn Khải (; born December 25, 1933) was prime minister of Vietnam from 1997 to 2006. He was elected to the position on September 24, 1997, and was re-elected in August 2002. On June 24, 2006, he announced his resignation (along with President Tran Duc Luong). After the death of Vo Van Kiet in June 12 2008 he is become the oldest living former Prime minister of Vietnam
